....

Oh shiny, shiny new computer!! It was a toss up between a new, bigger, more comfortable couch (Ektorp) and something to replace the pain machine that was my old laptop. Over the past months, I started every single morning freaking out about how slow it was and how nothing really worked and how it was an unfortunate meeting of a bad system and a bad machine and probably, an overly demanding user. Anyway: I decided to end that particular misery with something ridiculously expensive that is now going to replace both the pain machine and what I have dubbed the "old war horse" - my six year old PC that has been loyal to be, but gotten really loud - and whacking the thing to get the fan running only got me so far (my neighbours must think I am running some heavy machinery over here, not that I care).
It feels good so far. No initial troubles with the new Windows-version (yes. I will never learn that particular lesson), it's quick, it's silent, it doesn't turn itself off because of overheating after an hour. His name is Jonathan, and I hope he survives until I can replace him.
